Even though it debuted just last month, Samsung's T9 series of portable SSDs has already seen a massive discount on Amazon US. Unlike the company's previous lineups, it only comes in a black colorway, and it's available in three sizes — 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB.

The external solid-state drive measures just 3.5 x 2.4 x 0.6 inches (88 x 60 x 14 mm) and weighs 4.3 oz (122 grams). It features a USB-C port and an activity LED on the side, has a five-year warranty, and should survive drops from heights up to 9.8 feet (3 m).

In the box, buyers will receive a USB-C to USB-C cable as well as a USB-C to USB-A cable, with the latter limited to 10 Gbps speeds (USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 only supports Type-C ports). Additionally, Samsung's Magician Software, which works on Windows, macOS, and Android, allows users to access features such as performance benchmarks, security tools, health status, and firmware updates.

The Samsung T9 portable SSD with a 4 TB capacity currently costs just US$249.99 on Amazon, a whopping 43% off its MSRP. If that's too costly, you can also opt for the 2 TB version, which goes for US$199.99 right now, or the 1 TB model, which will set you back just US$129.99.
