Chatreey TANK arrives as new compact gaming PC with Thunderbolt 4 expansion
Chatreey has released another small PC, having introduced the likes of a refreshed G2, AM08, AMR5 and AM08 this year alone. Now, the company has unveiled the TANK, a 167 x 167 x 161 mm mini-PC that combines Intel Alder Lake-H series processors with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series laptop graphics cards. For reference, while specifications differ between models, all SKUs feature the same ports:
- 2x 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet
- 2x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 2x HDMI 2.0
- 1x SD card reader
- 1x Thunderbolt 4
- 6x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
Additionally, all Chatreey TANK SKUs have three M.2 2280 slots and a pair of SO-DIMM slots that accept up to 64 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM. It is worth noting that not all M.2 2280 slots may support PCIe 4.0 speeds. Instead, only one may be PCIe 4.0 capable, with Chatreey limiting the others to PCIe 3.0. At any rate, the TANK also includes a modem capable of delivering Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, but it is unclear whether this is an M.2 2230 wireless card or a soldered equivalent.
While Chatreey may eventually offer cheaper GeForce RTX 3060-based configurations, the TANK starts at US$750 for now with a Core i7-12700H processor and a GeForce RTX 3070 GPU. Alternatively, the mini-PC can be purchased with a Core i9-12900H and an RTX 3070 or RTX 3080 for a minimum of US$813 and US$906, respectively. By default, the TANK ships with 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, although there are 32 GB and 64 GB of RAM options, as well as one SKU with a 2 TB SSD.
