RedMagic 9 Pro-series: Color options for next-gen futuristic flagship smartphones unveiled
RedMagic claims to have reached the pinnacle of smartphone design by finally eliminating the camera hump in its upcoming 9 Pro series. Now, it has confirmed that this upgrade is on the way by sharing promotional images of the smartphones' finish options.
There will be 3 of those available at launch, it seems. Transparent Dark Night and Transparent Silver Wings will reprise the OEM's Deuterium (or DAO) branding with translucent-look rear panels that overtly draw attention to the RGB fan that is part of next-gen ICE cooling technology for the 9 Pro's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform.
By contrast, RedMagic's new flat rear panel switches to opaque black in the third Dark Night Knight colorway (which might be reserved for the cheaper 9 Pro-series SKUs). Its new press shots also reveal that the 8 Pro and Pro Plus successors will have a 50MP main camera, found in a corner-mounted cluster along with the smartphones' characteristic active fan.
Despite their "ultra-futurism, minimalist science fiction" hype, the RedMagic 9 Pro and Pro Plus also still support traditional gaming-phone capacitive shoulder buttons - not to mention a fifth-gen UDC display that confer perfectly rectangular front panels without intrusive punch-holes on the devices.
They will be further showcased during RedMagic's next major launch event later in November 2023.
