Convertibles, also known as two-in-one or multi-mode PCs, are hybrids that can be used as a tablet or a laptop. There are many different types: docking tablets with a keyboard base, slider solutions over a fixed keyboard unit or clamshell chassis with a 360-degree hinge. The following list contains notebook convertibles and 2-in-1 notebook convertibles, aka conventional notebooks with a special hinge that allows a 360 degree rotation of the display in order to be used in tablet mode. Convertibles combine the advantages of a tablet and a conventional laptop. True to this solution, the market offers a wide range of devices. The most important criterion is a bright, anti-reflective display so that the user does not have to accept any restrictions even in difficult operating conditions. The general system performance benefits immensely from the current Intel SoCs. However, it becomes apparent here that the cooling very quickly reaches its limits under load due to the quite compact construction, which is why the Core i systems very often drastically throttle the performance after 5-20 seconds. We will specifically deal with this in the individual tests - so it is worth taking a look. SSDs are indispensable, which are not only very fast, but also require very little space in the case, which in turn benefits the battery.
1st – Lenovo Yoga 9i 14
The Lenovo Yoga 9i 14 is a brand-new convertible based on the new Intel Alder Lake-P SoCs. The Intel Core i7-1260P offers 12 threads and could convince with excellent performance in the test. Lenovo packs everything together in a very high-quality case. In addition, there are excellent speakers, fast Wi-Fi and a 4K OLED display with HDR that delivers very good picture quality. However, the HDR mode is not supported in battery mode. An input pen is also included in the scope of delivery. However, it can no longer be stored in the case.
All in all, the Lenovo Yoga 9i 14 presents itself as a high-end convertible that only has minor weak points.

2nd – HP Spectre x360 13.5
The slim HP Spectre x360 13.5 convinces with stable CPU and GPU performance under load. In terms of equipment, the Spectre is very close to an EliteBook and can thus take away many positive aspects. All in all, the HP Spectre x360 2022 13.5 can take a very good place in our highly competitive top 10 list. The HP Spectre x360 only has a few minor drawbacks. Those who can make do with these will be rewarded with a very stylish and modern convertible.
The HP Spectre x360 13.5 is a chic device with modern equipment.
The Spectre x360 13.5 2022 is now widely available; a similar configuration with an OLED panel, Core i7-1255U and a 2 TB SSD costs around 2,000€ on HP's official homepage (DE). A cheaper model with an IPS touchscreen and a 512 GB SSD is available for €1,669.

3rd – HP Elite Dragonfly Folio
The HP Elite Dragonfly Folio 13.5 G3 offers a great design as a convertible and a fast SoC with the Intel Core i7-1265U. However, the 3D performance is only offloaded to the iGPU, which means there is no dedicated graphics card. The high-quality and thin chassis includes all the essentials including USB 4 and Thunderbolt 4. There is also an LTE modem, which significantly expands the usage scope of the HP Elite Dragonfly Folio 13.5 G3.
With the HP Elite Dragonfly Folio 13.5 G3, you get a real workhorse with good convertible features that make working easier.
Interested users have multiple configurations of the Elite Dragonfly Folio 13.5 G3 on HP's official store. Amazon also lists a core i5-1245U version for around $2,100.

4th – Lenovo Yoga 7-14
The Lenovo Yoga 7-14 is a modern convertible with a powerful APU based on an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U. The fast and efficient processor is clearly one of the strengths of the Lenovo Yoga 7-14. The overall package is rounded off with a high-quality case and an up-to-date selection of interfaces. On top of that, the convertible also impressed with a good OLED screen and long battery runtimes. Moreover, you don't have to do without an input pen.
With the fast AMD Ryzen 7 APU and the good gaming equipment, working with the device in everyday life is really fun.
Our test device is available for €1,349, at Campuspoint. The version for regular customers is available directly from Lenovo for €1,499. The cheapest model with the AMD Ryzen 5 6600U, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD and IPS display is available from ~€1,100.

5th – Dell Latitude 9430 2-in-1
The Dell Latitude 9430 2-in-1 offers a fast processor from the Alder Lake series, which places the device in the upper mid-range in terms of performance, but also in terms of price. The convertible can also be optionally equipped with a 5G modem, which means that the device can also be used as a mobile companion. The battery life also supports this.
Overall, the Dell Latitude 9430 2-in-1 presents itself as a convertible for demanding users.
Dell currently offers classic laptop models and 2-in-1 configurations of the Latitude 9430. Our configuration with the Core i7-1265U and 16 GB RAM currently costs around €2,250 (Dell DE).

6th – Lenovo Yoga 9 14
Based on the Intel Core i7-1260P, the Lenovo Yoga 9 14 offers a very good performance, which does not drop noticeably even under load. The rest of the equipment is also impressive, as the OLED display convinces with good measurement results and the fan volume of the Lenovo Yoga 9 14 is pleasantly quiet under load.
Overall, the Lenovo Yoga 9 14 offers solid performance, as the Core i7-1260P makes the convertible superior to many other contenders in multi-threaded applications.
At the time of writing, The Lenovo Yoga 9 14 (i7-1260P, 16 GB DDR5, 512 GB SSD, FHD) is listed on Amazon US for $1,599.

7th – Asus ExpertBook B7 Flip
The Asus ExpertBook B7 Flip is a compact long-running 14-inch business convertible that weighs just 1.4 kg (3.1 lbs) and offers long battery real-world battery life. It comes with a bright high-contrast 16:10 touch display, and it is powered by an Intel Core i7-1195G7, 16 GB of RAM, and a 1 TB SSD. Thanks to its good input devices, its 5G modem, its modern connectivity, and last but not least its performance it managed to secure a spot on our top 10 list.
The Asus ExpertBook B7 Flip is a good premium business convertible that offers plenty of benefits.

8th – Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga G7
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga G7 is now released with new Alder Lake P CPU, replacing the ThinkPad X2 Yoga G6 from last year. With the new SoC, users can look forward to a fast processor. However, the SoC could not unfold its full potential in the test. And yet, the new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga G7 always has its direct predecessor under control. The high-end business convertible offers a very high-quality case, as well as a matt 16:10 touch display. The good system performance is paired with a variety of modern interfaces and the good input devices make the device interesting for frequent typists.
The new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga G7 has a difficult start, because the new SoC cannot fully convince. In addition, the high price deters customers.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga G7 is not yet available in North America.

9th – Dell Latitude 9330
The Dell Latitude 9330 is a compact convertible in 13-inch format. With the Intel Core i7-1260U, the Dell convertible offers a solid performance based on a top modern SoC. With the installed 16 GB of working memory and the 512 GB SSD, the device is very well suited for everyday use. Among other things, we also liked the long battery runtimes and the good maintainability.
The Dell Latitude 9330 is a fast and enduring convertible and scores with a good multi-thread performance.
Dell currently offers some configurations for the Latitude 9330 2-in-1, starting from $2,065. Amazon US also lists a variant for $1,850, which is equipped a Core i7-1260U.

10th – Lenovo Yoga 7
The Lenovo Yoga 7 16IAP7 is based on Intel's latest Alder Lake series and offers a very fast SoC with the Intel Core i7-1260P. A large 16-inch touchscreen with high colour fidelity are further good arguments for a purchase. In addition, there are many connections. The materials used are of high quality. The convertible also offers fast Wi-Fi and support for a stylus. Unfortunately, the stylus cannot be conveniently stored in the device.
Overall, the Lenovo Yoga 7 presents itself well. Nevertheless, the weight limits the handling in everyday life somewhat.
The Lenovo Yoga 7 16IAP7 is now available at Best Buy with the Core i7-1260P CPU starting at $1,430 (~ €1,395). Alternatively, users can buy directly from Lenovo, where other SKUs are available, including the Intel Arc A370M GPU for $1,170 (~ €1,175).
