More ports and noisier fans. Sleek Sophistication. This year's Asus ROG Flow X13 improves on many aspects compared to its predecessors. The new Flow X13 GV302XV offers AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS and Nvidia RTX 4060 smarts in a petite 13.4-inch convertible form factor. Intel 13th gen CPU swap. The IdeaPad Flex 5i 14 looks very attractive at first glance with its low US$574 starting price and Thunderbolt support, but the fixed 8 GB of RAM is a huge asterisk and the price to upgrade is absurdly high for what is supposed to be a budget 2-in-1.

Large and inexpensive 16-inch convertible. The 2023 Inspiron 16 2-in-1 comes in two versions: Inspiron 16 7630 with Intel and Inspiron 16 7635 with AMD. The latter is cheaper, but it entails a longer list of cut corners that users should be aware of when compared to the Intel version.
